State bank of Bikaner & Jaipur recognises the need for participation of women in the ecoomic and business activities.The Bank has devised several schemes for financing of entrepreneurs in Small Scale Industries and Small Business Finance.

A. SCHEME

• The self employed professional scheme provides financing toDoctors, CAs, Cost Accountants, Lawyers ,Solicitors ,Management Consultants ,Journlists and other qualified women.

• The bank has some liberal terms for extending credit to women for setting up retail trade in household & consumer items.

• The Business enterprises like restaurants and centre can also be established with the bank assistance.

• The lady entrepreneur are eligible to get need based credit for productive purposes under the liberalised scheme for small scale Industries.The scheme provides comprehensive credit facilities for acquisition of fixed assets,working capital,bills facility etc.

• Under the entrepreneurs scheme the Technically qualified,trained and experienced women can avail bank finance.

• The bank has a special scheme "Stree Shakti Package" for encouraging entrepreneurship among the women folk.The finance under the scheme is made available at reduced margins.

B. PROCEDURE

• Application have to be submitted at the nearest branch in the prescribed forms.

• The Branch Managers be requested to check that the necessary particulars have been furnished in the application submitted.

• The branches have been instructed to render all the necessary assistance in filling up the applications forms in the case of semi-literate and illiterate applicants.

C. CHARTER

• Women entrepreneurs can avail credit facilities under central and state government sponsored poverty alleviation and self employed schemes like PMRY and SGSY.Under SGSY scheme,women are encouraged to form into Self Help groups.Each Self Help group will be eligible for a maximum subsidy of Rs 1.25 lacs.The application can be routed through the concerned government departments by an aspiring entrepreneurs.

• A lady entrepreneurs may avail bank finance at reduced margin by 5% as also at a reduced interest of 0.5% for loans above Rs 2.00 lacs under Stree Shakti Package Scheme.

• Loans upto Rs 5.00 lakhs to tiny sectors is granted without collateral security.

• 15 days time has been prescribed to sanction loans upto Rs 25000/- from the date of submission of the application with all required particulars.For sanction of higher amounts this period may be up to 8 to 9 weeks.

• The District Industries Centres provides advisory services who will also give necessary guidance for setting up industries and business enterprises.
